Polycarbonate sheet cutting calculator

Work out polycarbonate sheet count and waste from your SVG; 205 × 305 cm solid and 2.10 × 6 m multiwall sheets preset.

When preparing the file

  • Draw each part as a closed shape.
  • Convert text to outlines.
  • Save the drawing at real size, in mm or cm.

Settings

Gap left between parts (blade or router bit width).

Gap left from the sheet edge.

Turn rotation off if the material direction (pattern, brushed surface) matters.

Enter the real width of one part; the drawing scale is corrected accordingly.

      Sizes the tool tries

On this page the tool opens with polycarbonate and compares two stock sizes: 205 × 305 cm (solid, 1–10 mm) and 210 × 600 cm (multiwall, 4–10 mm). The cutting gap defaults to 3 mm.

      • Waste = total sheet area − part area
      • Efficiency = part area ÷ total sheet area

      Example: 30 parts of 50 × 40 cm (6 m²) fit on a single 205 × 305 cm sheet (6.25 m²) in a straight grid with a 3 mm gap, about 96% efficiency. A 210 × 600 cm sheet takes 59 of the same part.

Source: sheet sizes from the Asta Reklam stock list (AstaFlow, October 2026); waste and efficiency as defined by the tool. The result is an approximate estimate.

      How does it work?

From your drawing to a cutting plan in four steps.

      1. Upload your SVG file

Drag and drop the drawing with the parts to be cut, or choose the file.

      2. Choose material and cutting gap

Set the sheet material, the gap between parts and the rotation option.

      3. Calculate and see the sheet with least waste

The tool tries every sheet size, recommends the most efficient option and shows the layout.

      4. Download or request a quote

Download the cutting SVG or DXF, or go to the quote form with the sheet size and count.

      Frequently asked questions

Which polycarbonate sheet sizes does the tool try?

The two Asta stock sizes - 205 × 305 cm for solid and 210 × 600 cm (2.10 × 6 m) for multiwall polycarbonate. For another size, choose “Other (custom size)” and enter it.

Does flute direction matter on multiwall sheet?

Yes. The flutes run along the sheet length; on roofs and canopies they should follow the slope so condensation can drain. If part direction is fixed, set rotation to “No rotation”.

How do I turn the result into a quote?

Add the calculation to the project basket and use “Request a quote”; sheet size and count are included and our nearest branch replies with price and stock.

Corrugated polycarbonate sheets are a durable and practical building material with superior properties in many areas compared with conventional light-transmitting and covering materials. Thanks to their transparent structure, they offer light transmission as high as glass, while being 6 times lighter and 200 times more impact resistant than glass.
