Product information
Acrylic sheet produced by the extrusion method is made by changing the molecular structure of monomer acrylic into a polymer, giving PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate). PMMA is drawn on an extrusion line into sheets of the desired size and thickness. It is much lighter than glass, which makes it easier to transport and machine. Clear acrylic transmits 92% more light than glass. Its size and thickness tolerances are smaller than those of cast acrylic, and the production process is faster and more practical.
High Light Transmission
Transmits 92% more light than glass, ideal for transparent applications.
Light and Portable
Much lighter than glass, easy to transport and machine.
Fast Production
Produced quickly and practically by the extrusion method.
Low Tolerance
Size and thickness tolerances are low, so it can be used in precision projects.
Wide Range of Applications
Suitable for decorative and functional purposes in different industries.
General Features
- Extrusion Method: PMMA, formed when monomer acrylic becomes a polymer, is drawn on an extrusion line into sheets.
- Lightweight Structure: Much lighter than glass, easy to transport and install.
- High Light Transmission: Clear acrylic transmits 92% more light and looks more transparent than glass.
- Fast and Practical Production: The extrusion method gives a faster and more practical production process.
- Low Tolerance: Size and thickness tolerances are smaller than cast acrylic, so it is preferred in projects that require precise dimensions.
Areas of Use
- Advertising and Sign Applications: Used in advertising signs and wayfinding boards thanks to its light, light-transmitting structure.
- Interior Decoration: Preferred in interior decoration projects for its transparent and aesthetic look.
- Furniture and Architectural Designs: Applied in furniture panels, covers and light partitions that can replace glass.
- Lighting Elements: Suitable for use in light fittings because of its high light transmission.
- Industrial Applications: Preferred in various industrial products for purposes such as cladding and housings, thanks to its light and durable structure.
- Healthcare Sector: Used in transparent barriers, medical device guards and sterile partitions.
