Frequently asked questions
How many modules for channel letters?
It depends on letter height, case depth and the module’s beam angle. Our LED calculator works out the module count, a 10% spare, total power and the power supply you need from letter size or your SVG drawing.
Which module wattage should I choose?
Modules of 0.60, 0.72, 1.20, 1.50 and 2.40 W are in stock. Small-lens 0.72 W suits thin, shallow letters; 1.20–1.50 W is common for standard channel letters and lightboxes. For edge-lit letters there are 1.50 W single and 2.40 W 4-LED modules.
How many modules per power supply?
Total module power × 1.25 must not exceed the power supply rating. For example, a 100 W unit takes at most 53 modules of 1.5 W. Do not exceed the manufacturer’s maximum modules per series chain either.
