What is one way vision?

One way vision is a printable film with regular perforations. From outside you see the print; from inside you still see through the holes. On vehicles it carries the graphics onto the rear windows. This page opens with the sedan class and rear windows only: about 1.2 metres of perforated film plus the same length of laminate.

Which windows are included?

Only the rear window and the side windows behind the driver: rear and rear side windows on cars, rear door windows on vans, rear and passenger windows on minibuses and buses. The windscreen and front side windows are never included.

Method

  1. The class’s window sizes are taken (sedan: about 1.07 m²).
  2. Windows are not wrapped round edges, so the edge allowance is half that of the body (2.5 cm by default).
  3. Pieces are placed on the selected roll width, and 15% waste is added.

Calculated together with wrap vinyl, one way vision is a separate item with its own layout, because it is a different material cut from a different roll. Buy it from the same lot when several vehicles carry the same design.

Source: window sizes are estimated from a sample model per class; roll widths from the Asta Reklam one way vision product page. The result is an approximate estimate; measure the windows before installation.

Frequently asked questions

How much one way vision do I need?

A sedan’s rear window and two rear side windows need about 1.2 metres of 152 cm roll; a minibus’s rear window and eight passenger windows about 8.2 metres. Both include a 15% waste allowance.

Can one way vision go on the windscreen or front side windows?

The tool does not include these windows. Windows that affect the driver’s view are not covered; check traffic regulations before installation.

Does one way vision need laminate?

It is recommended on vehicles. A clear laminate keeps dirt and water out of the holes, improves visibility in rain and protects the print. The tool calculates it at the same length; switch it off if not needed.

Which roll widths are available?

One way vision comes in 106, 127, 137 and 152 cm. In the vehicle wrap tool 137 and 152 cm can be selected; rear windows usually come out of either width in one piece.

Can I calculate it together with wrap vinyl?

Yes. Select “Rear windows” together with full body or ad areas; wrap vinyl and one way vision are listed as separate items with separate layouts.
