Frequently asked questions
What should I check when choosing a Union adapter?
The voltage of your LED product (usually 12 V) and its total power. Multiply the total power by 1.25; the adapter rating must cover that value. For example, a 48 W strip needs at least a 60 W adapter.
How do I convert watts to amps at 12 V?
Current = power ÷ voltage. At 12 V, 60 W is about 5 A, 100 W about 8.3 A and 200 W about 16.7 A. The amp rating on the adapter label confirms this.
