One way vision (perforated window film) is an adhesive film with small holes, white on the printed side and black on the back. Stuck to glass, people outside see the print, while people inside see out through the holes. It is used on shop windows, office glass and vehicle windows.
How it works
The outer face is white and printed; the black back and the holes let you look outwards from inside. It works best when it is brighter outside than inside. At night, with the interior lit, the effect weakens (product page).
Perforation and roll widths
Our product page gives a 50% perforation ratio. ORAFOL’s ORAJET 3675 film also has 50% printable area with 1.5 mm holes and a thickness of 0.14 mm. More holes give a better view but a weaker print.
Stocked rolls are 106, 127, 137 and 152 cm wide and 50 m long (Oracal 3632E, Eastmark, Venezia).
| Roll width | Roll area (50 m) |
|---|---|
| 106 cm | 53 m² |
| 127 cm | 63.5 m² |
| 137 cm | 68.5 m² |
| 152 cm | 76 m² |
Printing, lamination and application
- Printing: ORAFOL recommends solvent-based inkjet for ORAJET 3675. Keep ink volume low and run a test print.
- Lamination: ORAFOL recommends ORAGUARD 297GF cast film for its window graphics films.
- Application: clean the glass and apply above the minimum temperature (10 °C for ORAJET 3675). The film usually goes on the outside of the glass; follow the manufacturer’s instructions and trim 2–3 mm inside the edge.
Vehicle windows: legal note
Films on vehicle windows are regulated, especially on the windscreen and in the driver’s field of view. Check the current rules with the competent authority first. This is not legal advice.

FAQ
Can you see out through one way vision film?
Yes. With the black back and 50% perforation you see out from inside, and from outside you see only the print.
What happens at night?
With the interior lit and the outside dark, the effect reverses and the inside becomes visible.
Can it be used on a car rear window?
Only where the rules allow it. Never on the windscreen or where it limits the driver’s view.
